This video reminds us of all of the men and women that put their lives on the line to keep us safe. It is easy to forget that these soldiers need support not just during their service but long afterward too depending on how long they were deployed or where they were sent.
I love how after this dog and soldier have served their duties that they reunited the two of them to retire together.
I think placing service dogs with their soldiers long term after they serve is a great form of therapy for everyone involved.
Have you seen the transformation of a soldier who has come home from war before and after they were given a therapy dog? It’s amazing!
